2018 Nebbiolo, Alisos Vineyard

Deliciously aromatic, conjuring aromas of dark cherries, sweet tobacco, and tarry earthiness. In the mouth the violet character carries through and picks up a bit of tart berry, and orange peel. The abundant dusty tannins are a lovely reminder of the true character of this noble variety.
2018 was a beautiful vintage for many varieties including this nebbiolo, from the newly formed Alisos Canyon AVA. Planted in 2006 on a rocky hillside at the top of the ridge, this vineyard is coming into it's own.
